Information
Amount of Scholarship
One $500 cash scholarship will be awarded each
year.
Eligibility
To qualify for the
Susan Ferguson Memorial Scholarship applicants must be graduates of the Snow
College Richfield LPN program with a commitment to continue their training
in an accredited Registered Nurse program. Applications will be accepted
from current students and former graduates of the Snow College Richfield LPN
program.
Application Submission Procedures
Applications may be
obtained from the Snow College Richfield nursing department secretary, or
at
www.susanferguson.org (click here).
Applications must be fully completed including letters of reference.
Applications and letters of reference may be turned in to the Snow College
Richfield nursing secretary in a sealed envelope, or mailed to:

All completed
applications will receive full consideration. The recipient of the
scholarship will be announced at the Snow College Richfield LPN graduation
program in the Spring of each year. Applications must be received or
postmarked by April 15th.
Method of Determination
Awarding of the Susan
Ferguson Memorial Scholarship will be based on a combination of academic
achievement, performance in clinical settings, letters of reference, and a
brief essay. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate a
desire to pursue a nursing career based on the concept of service as
exemplified by Susan Ferguson throughout her nursing career.
Selection Committee
A committee made up of
at least 3 members of the Susan Ferguson Memorial Scholarship Fund board of
directors and at least 2 members of the Snow College Richfield LPN program
faculty will select the recipient of the Susan Ferguson Memorial
Scholarship.
